MINISTER TEKİN VISITS THE GAZAN CHILDREN

The Ministry of National Education has initiated various forms of training, including psychological support, orientation training, and Turkish language instruction, for the children brought to Türkiye for treatment after being affected by Israel's attacks on Gaza.
 
Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin visited the 220 Gazan children receiving education as part of a summer school at Seyranbağları Primary School in Ankara. During the visit, the children greeted Minister Tekin with flowers, saying, 'Welcome to our school!'
 
Minister Tekin toured the classrooms where the children were receiving education and conversed with the students in Turkish. Emphasizing that Türkiye has always stood by Palestine, Minister Tekin stated that they will always be with the Gazan children they are hosting by meeting all their needs.
 
The Gazan children expressed their happiness with Minister Tekin's visit, stating that they felt at home in Türkiye. They noted that they are trying to forget the effects of the war thanks to the psychosocial support they received in the very warm environment in Türkiye. The Gazan children also expressed their gratitude for the educational opportunities provided.
 
In addition to the shelter, food, clothing, and humanitarian aid supplied to Gazan war victims, the Ministry of National Education provides support to the Palestinian guest children to help them continue their education. Efforts are ongoing to address their special education and psychological support needs, as well as to provide necessary guidance activities according to their grade levels.
 
Deputy Minister Nazif Yılmaz and Ankara Governor Vasip Şahin also participated in the visit.
